Dublin Swim Center Pool Rules

General Facility Information
  • Everyone entering the facility must pay the admission fee during Recreational Swim hours.
  • Glass containers are prohibited.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the facility.
  • Running is not permitted in the bathhouse or on the pool deck. No playing is allowed in the showers or in the restrooms.
  • The use of cell phones and cameras is prohibited in the bathhouse, showers, and restrooms.
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Food and drink are allowed on the grass area and Picnic Area only.
  • The use of BBQs must be approved by the Recreation Coordinator.
  • Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and roller skate/blades are not allowed in the facility.
  • Only toys that are 1 piece and have no sharp edges will be allowed in the pool at the Assistant Pool Manager’s discretion.
  • Adult Swim is held each hour on the :45 on weekends and on the :15 on weekdays. This time is reserved for adults and adults with children ages 6 and under. Each adult may have a maximum of 2 children in the water with them during Adult Swim.
  • Diving is allowed from the diving board or the side of the pool in designated areas of the deep end only.
Guest Conduct
  • Use of profanity is prohibited.
  • Pushing, shoving, and hitting are not permitted.
  • Dunking others is prohibited. Excessive splashing is not allowed.
  • Climbing or playing on the solar panels and lifeguard stands is not allowed.
  • Swimmers are not allowed on other people’s shoulders or backs.
  • Throwing people is prohibited.
  • Swimmers must enter the water facing forward, feet-first.
  • Guests may not pull other swimmers out of the water.
  • Pulling on another guest’s swimsuit is prohibited.
  • Guests must stay out of the pool gutters and skimmers.
  • Pretending to be in danger is prohibited.
  • Excessive conversation with the lifeguards on the pool deck is not permitted.
Wading Pool
  • Only children age 6 and under, with the supervision of an adult, may use the wading pool.
  • Jumping back and forth across the moat is prohibited.
  • Those who must wear a diaper outside of the pool must wear a special “swimming diaper” inside the pool. Regular diapers are not permitted.
Age & Ability
  • Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Non-swimmers are not allowed in water above their chest unless accompanied by an adult.
  • Flotation devices and life jackets are not allowed unless they are Coast Guard Approved Personal Flotation Devices.
  • An adult may not have more than 2 non-swimmers in their supervision at 1 time.
  • Bathing suits must be worn.
  • Cut-offs are not allowed.
  • Swimmers over 6 years old must wear adult style swim suits.
Diving Board
  • Guests must be able to comfortably swim 1 length of the pool in order to use the diving board.
  • Dives that are permitted include jumps, front dives, and forward flips.
  • Dives that are not permitted include inward dives, reverse dives, back dives, and dives involving spins or twists.
  • Shoes or “aqua socks” are not permitted on the diving board.
  • One guest is allowed on the diving structure at a time.
  • Running is not permitted on the diving board.
  • Guests must dive straight off the board, not to the side, then swim to the nearest ladder and exit the diving area before the next person is allowed to use the diving board.
  • The lifeguards are permitted to restrict diving privileges if they deem the use of the diving board to be unsafe.
Water Slide
  • Children under 48 inches tall are not permitted on this ride.
  • Riders who do not have beginner swimming skills are not permitted on this ride.
  • Riders who are unsure of their swimming ability should see a lifeguard before using the slide.
  • For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide.
  • Read and obey all posted signs. Obey all instructions given by lifeguards.
  • No person should bring food or beverage onto water slide structure.
  • Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  • Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation is not permitted.
  • Shoes or “aqua socks” are not permitted on the waterslide.
  • Riders must wait for the lifeguards to start signal before starting the ride.
  • Only 1 rider is to enter the flume at a time. Single riders only.
  • Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate, or stop on the slide.
  • Never form chains.
  • Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back or in a sitting position (sit up to go slower, lay down to go faster).
  • Keep arms and hands inside the flume at all times.
  • At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by lifeguard and exit quickly. Do not block the end of the slide.
  • No swimming or flotation devices allowed in the splash down area.
  • Ride at your own risk.
  • Rider’s weight must not exceed 300 pounds.
Note: Any behavior deemed unsafe or inappropriate by the lifeguard is prohibited.
