    June 28, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Emerald Glen Park

    Join us for "Green Day" at the Dublin Farmers' Market, where you can learn all about environmental sustainability, green living, and reducing waste. The "Lexicon of Sustainability" pop-up art show, received through a grant for the Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association, willbe on hand, and we'll have several crafts for the kids in honor of "Family Night" at the market. Of course, the East Bay SPCA will be bringing some darling pets by, and the Valley Children's Mobile Museum will be open to engage the whole family. This week's Dublin Farmers' Market is being brought to you by Keypoint Credit Union, Foothill Chiropractic, Hillcrest Dental, Koboda Dental, Koko FitClub, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Specific Chiropractic Center, and Sybase.

  1. Exhibit: We Can Build, We Can Fight: The U.S. Navy Seabees in WWII Dublin:

    We Can Build, We Can Fight: The U.S. Navy Seabees in WWII Dublin: In January of 1943, 150 men enlisted in the U.S. Navy arrived in Dublin, California. Their mission: to build Camp Parks, a Replacement and Recuperation Center, that would service the Navy's Construction Battalions deployed in the Pacific Theater. We Build, We Fight features historical documents and artifacts from the recently acquired Camp Parks Collection. Come explore the significance of Dublin's very own naval base through original uniforms, first person narratives and historical photographs. Discover who the Seabees were, why their motto was "Can do!" and what they did while on base in Dublin.
